I'm a historian and writer; my work centers on the history of the modern human sciences and political economy. My current book project, Economy of Desire: The Sciences of Human Wants, is under contract at the University of Chicago Press.
I am a Lecturer in History of Science at Harvard University. I received my PhD in History of Science and Medicine from Yale, and was previously Visiting Research Scholar at Duke University's Center for the History of Political Economy in 2022–23. I am a Contributing Editor to the Boston Review and an Editor. I've also written about issues relating to my work for publications such as the Washington Post, n+1, and Dissent.
